Just curious...does anybody think they have the ultimate chocolate babka recipe? I have one that I really like, but since I am not Jewish (and Chinese to boot!), I probably am not the authority on this subject! I'll happily swap recipes...I just want to know if I'm on the right track or not. I sort of made up the recipe myself. :)

I'll definitely post, Noreen, as soon as I'm able to get downstairs to my recipes! LOL Still on bedrest...not cuz I need to be anymore, but more cuz I can barely walk to the bathroom. :P Could be any day now...I got a good couple of contractions this morning and the baby seems to have put herself into position.
But just to hold you over, I DO know my recipe contains lots of chocolate, cinnamon, butter, flour and yeast...just forget the quantities off the top of my head. ;) Take note though, it's still CHINESE Babka! hehehehe

Allaya, I have never made Chocolate Babka, but the more chocolate it has, the better. LOL Anyway, I also don't have a definitive Jewish Babka recipe, but I did a little search for you. This 1 looks good.

Boy, does this make me hungry!!! I've been ritualistically waking up (through no desire of my own) at 3 or 4AM simply dying of hunger. But the good news is that the pictures here sort of look like the babka I make! :) I guess I"m on the right track. Should I post my Chinese pierogi recipes too? hehehehe That's something else I've been craving...just no room or time to do it lately. *sigh* Do you have any idea how hard it is to find any meat pierogi around here? Ugh. I've really been moved out of my element.
