I ordered from them on Jan. 3 and didn't get anything. I have emailed with no response, called an out of service phone number, and can't find ANY phone number on their web site. Does anyone know if this store is still in business - or what! Thanks,
I'd be inclined to stop payment and then email and ask that the order be cancelled. This doesn't sound good with no email response and the phone not working. You can buy batiks anywhere- I think materialpleasures.com has all their fabric, including a nice selection of batiks, for $6 a yard again this week. Better safe than sorry....
Is that the right url Leslie? That's an antique and vintage textile site.....or did I miss something on the website? And there are some pricey fabrics there!
Darnnit! I can never remember if it's marterialpleasure.com or materialpleasures.com If one doesn't work then try the other. The owner's name is Leslie (also!)- you might want to email her and be sure the sale is still on for the $6 a yard prices. She changes the price on your invoice- the sale price won't show on the website or on your emailed confirmation invoice. I have spent oodles of $$$ there for 3-4 years now and she NEVER fails to change the cost to the sale price before she bills you- if you order within the correct time frame, etc. And she's extremely fair on her shipping charges. Sorry for the mix-up!
I ordered a set of nine 5 x 5 Butterfly Batik panels. I'm sure I can find them elsewhere. I do want to make sure my payment is reversed first though, like you said.
True ... I'd be awfully miffed, too. I don't know why they're not answering you ... when did you contact them?? If it's been longer than a week (without a response), I'd file some sort of complaint with PayPal. PayPal's awfully good at getting answers. Where they might not talk to you (I'd not do business with them again, if I were you - but that's just me), they WILL talk to PayPal. If they want their money, they will!!!
If you did it through PP, you should have heard *something* from them - even if only a shipping report. PP makes it so easy to ship goods, it's scary.
Let's see. I ordered on the 3rd. I emailed them about 12 days later. Five days after that I tried calling. Then the same day I emailed them through PayPal. Three days later I escalated it to a PayPal claim. PayPal said it may take a month for them to get some answers.
Karen, Queen of Squishies - nope, not doing business there again
I got my batik panels in the mail on the 22nd. Still no note or communication. I don't know if I got them because of the PayPal thing, or if this was the normal delivery. But I got them! : ) They are SO beautiful!
