Your opinion on Memories.com

Has anyone else purchased items from this web site that had less that good customer service?

I ordered 5 Quickutz diecuts and a tool (looks like a pencil with sticky stuff on it) and when I ordered the items their web site indicated that all items were in stock and would be shipped.

When my order arrived, it contained ONE die cut and the tool. The postage on the envelope was $1.35 and they charged me $6.95 shipping. A note said that IF the items were restocked in the next two weeks they would be shipped free of charge. This, of course, has not happened.

I am steamed that they had the nerve to charge that much for shipping. Their web site STILL indicated that these items were in stock the day my order arrived. It has been updated since that time, but I still think that is a pretty crummy way to do business.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Also, any suggestions on a good source to buy the new Quickutz dies, from an online vendor that actually comes through for you?

I want/need that new penguin die, along with several others.

Thanks kindly.

I haven't bought anything from that site. If I am only buying one die and don't want to pay a flat shipping fee of 6 or 7 bucks I usually can find what I am looking for on ebay. If I am buying alot of dies I usually buy them somewhere that either offers free shipping or somewhere with a reasonable flat fee.

Be careful if you buy directly off the quickutzs site, I ordered six dies a few months ago and shipping was suppose to be $4. The order was fulfilled by three different sources and each source charged my account $4 shipping. I didn't understand that the orders are farmed out to their sellers rather than coming directly from Quickutz. I complained but they wouldn't credit me the 8 extra bucks they overcharged me. I haven't bought a Quickutz die since.

Hi,

Sorry you had a bad experince with Memories.com. I have ordered from them in the past. All of my items were shipped together so I don't have any experience with back order items. If I were you I would send an e-mail to Memories.com customer service. My personal opinion they should send you items you purchased and the shipping should be $6.95 no matter how many packages they send you.

Good Luck, I hope the customer service people can resolve your issue.

Thanks for the replies.

I did send an email to their customer service department and they did not have the courtesy to send me a reply. I am very disappointed in them.

Paperdreams.com has usually a great selection of dies and stuff, good prices, BUT their shipping service time absolutely sucks!! After this last time (almost 4 weeks for 2 dies this past moth) I will only order fro them again if I can not find what I want elsewhere.

Most i here have a LIST of sites. If I am looking or wanting something, I go thru all my fav's and then the others I have bookmarked to see if they have it and what the price is. So like they say, SHOP AROUND!

I have also gotten hooked now on ebay. Put in a search and results will come up. In that list will be all the different sellers. I have several of them marked who are GREAT in their service!!

Good Luck
