OT: "Katrina" and now "Rita"

As many of you know, I immediately took 10 afghans to the Salvation Army evacuee center in Franklin, TN, after hurricane Katrina. Some may know that Kathy and I volunteered at that center for two days before we finally went down to Jackson Mississippi for 4 days. I brought 10 more afghans with me and spent a LOT of one on one time with many evacuees in the evenings... Kathy learned to knit and crochet along with 15 others, two men, 7 ladies and 6 kids. It was SO awesome to have brought something to DO to these poor souls. (and the needles, hooks and yarn were from my private stash, so no extra cost to me, grin!) I am SO proud of the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Freedomcorps.org, FarmAid and United Way! Hugs, Noreen

How nice, Noreen. You have shared a gift with others, which they will have forever. God love you for that!

Am thinking... best to ask Don's 'team' (Docs) if it's safe for HIM to go, then we could all go, wouldn't THAT be sweet? Hugs, Noreen
