I just finished some VERY quick gifts (WOW, FOs after such a long time!). I made some crocheted roses pins, the kind so in fashion at the moment. I bought the yarn today in the afternoon, returned home, had to wind it in a ball and then made 6 pins in no time! WOW! They look so nice made in Araucania variagated pink!

Hope these pins will fit different tastes of different ages: DGMIL (dear grandmother in law), her best friend, MIL, SIL#1, SIL#2! And one for me, of course. It was difficult to find something for DGMIL: she is almost 93 and it's difficult to find something she doesn't already have. I hope she will use the pin on the tonzs of scarves and hats she has LOL

Hugs,

Anna Maria

Aud, Thanks for posting this. The creatures may be something that I can make for my DGSs to hold in the car on their way to pre-school. Cute, Carol in TN

Hi Aud,

I'll have to print off the directions for the gloves, they are really neat. I liked the creatures too. Thank you for the links.

Hugs,

Nora

Hi Aud!

I couldn't let you "burn" LOL

Here you have a pic:

image is HUGE, sorry, but the pins are not so big, just about 6 cm (3 inches) across. As you can see, I punt a safety pin in the back. My sewing skills are very poor, sorry. The pattern for the roses comes from an American magazine called Country Afghans. It was actually the centre of crocheted cushion. These are made without any sewing, but there's a pattern on the Lionbrand site whose result looks very similar. It's even easier if possible, but I wanted to avoid the use of a needle.

Anna Maria

Ciao, Anna Maria! Come stai?

Thank you for the picture! I am sure the recievers will love this gifts! I have saved the picture! Molto bene!!

I have started the Italian course, you see! Here is what I have learned: Accidenti che panino!! (LOL, I will remember that one, but I think it is not TOO wise to say so on a restaurant!) I think this is more useful:

-Buongiorno, vorrei prenotare una camera doppia per questo fine settimana.

Arrivederci! AUD ;-)

Ciao, Aud! Sto bene, grazie.

Grazie!

It really depends on the contest LOL

It's surely more useful. Did you see the Danish movie "Italian language for beginners"? It was so funny, even if there were too many cliches about Italians.

A presto! See/hear you soon!

Too bad I didn't see the pattern for the big kitty on the main page... that would be cute to make. But nevermind... I like the little guys... and those gloves look neat too. :o)
