(Bet that got your attention)

You've all heard of DWI - driving while intoxicated. I suppose that we could not drive while knitting? (giggle)

What activities do any of you do while you knit or crochet? Does anyone knit when they're reading this ng?

Hi Susan!

Watch tv as well, but crocheting while watching tv is not so easy for me, so I crochet only if the program is not of highest interest (I would not crochet during CSI or Desperate housewives LOL). Listening to radio, of course. Talking on the telephone with friends, this one can be very funny, since sometime the dialogue can take this turn: wait a minute, I have to count my stitches, one two, three... OK... what were you saying? LOL

Hello Susan,

Gail says I sleep or if I don't, I knit or crochet with my eyes closed some times.

I think most of us knit or crochet while we watch TV.

Thank you for such an interesting question, I will watch it.

Hugs & God bless, Dennis & Gail

When DH and I go on roadtrips, he drives, and I knit, and we listen to books on CD. This is actually the reason that I took up knitting in the first place! I am also a quilter (machine pieced, send it out to be quilted), and that's tough to do in the car. And the scenery crossing ON for our annual trip to MI is not exactly, um, enthralling, so I needed something to pass the time better. When we got to MI Thanksgiving of '04 I asked my aunt to teach me to knit. I was doing dishcloths on the way back!

I also LOVE to watch TV. Good TV, bad TV, it doesn't matter. So now I can say "Oh, I'm knitting, the TV is just on for background noise."

And only you would add that one right off the bat! [Even though we probably all thought it!] ;-)

That's right, nodding head. We wouldn't want to poke him with a knitting needle in a conspicuous place, would we?? Wait, don't answer that, sometimes we might! LOL Hugs, Noreen

good heavens Tamar...you need many more hands to be able to do that, I can see many dropped stitches, heels turned the wrong way and oh so many spelling errors....LOL

No Knitting and driving, no telephoning and driving, no eating or drinking and driving.....for goodness sakes. The way we are speeding along curvy mountain roads, lets not add that to the equation.
