Rowan question - for UK members

I live fairly close to Holmfirth so wanted to go to Rowan /yarns for some yarn - and for self indulgence.

The web site doesn't mention personal shopping and gives no opening hours. When I telephoned the recorded message gave me 'office hours' only.

Does anyone know if it's possible to visit Rowan Yarns in person?

Mary, I don't live in the UK. When I visited Holmfirth, tours of the Rowan spinnery were given for groups only. I would suggest Upcountry Yarns for a large selection of Rowan. They are just around the corner from the mill.

Mary, they do have "contact us" tab on their home page. If you fill in their enquiry form I'm sure they'll mail you back pretty quickly.

I haven't contacted this company but this is my preferred method of contacting commercial concerns and I've usually had a reply within 48 hours.

Not yet, but I shall.

48 hours always seems to be a long time to wait for a reply even when there isn't a weekend but this ng was far less tardy :-)

Watch this space for what happens when I do get to Upcountry.
