Summer blah's |already!|

I've got a case of the summer blah's... *already*!! But, I'm OK, so don't *worry*!!! I'm debating doing a rummage sale this coming weekend, I've got a 2 year old printer (Canon i560) to sell as I replaced it and my scanner with an all in one unit. Plus loads of other stuff to get rid of too, including my desk, LOL! We're still planning a weekend jaunt down to Marietta (Atlanta-ish) Georgia for Father's Day. I almost wish we were going THIS coming weekend instead, as there's a festival going on that I'd REALLY like to take part in. All I'll say is: rainbows and pflag. I've now re-started my sisters' rectangular shawl SIX times... I really hate that navy blue and black get so hard to work with, with *ahem* "age". Hugs, Noreen

Hi Noreen,

Boy, do I ever agree with you about the navy blue and black, not my two favorite colors at all.

It's still spring and it's like the middle of summer here, sure makes crocheting more difficult so I'm stocking up on books to read. LOL

Hugs,

Nora

I'm going to the Library tomorrow AM to get some. I just had my electronic rolodex by Franklin puke on me... we replaced the battery, but it was too far gone. Oh well, it was at LEAST eight years old... Don said he'd go get me a new one, but I guess I really don't NEED it, lol! Hugs, Noreen

"Embroidered Truths", the new one by Monica Ferris, has been published. I enjoyed it.

Our weather has been really hot! around 95. Tried to crochet under the tree watching the kiddies unde the sprinkler. I got eaten alive by the nats even though I sprayed my hat! Ahh, summertime! I guess with the bright sun, bugs and heat, I have now realized that I must frog all that I did, a real bummer! I am making a dark burgundy backpack for DD with bobbles and it is also hard to find stitches at times.

Hi Jan,

Wow, that was quick as it was only released on the 5th according to the bookstores. I'll be looking for it when I get to BJ's on Sat.

Michael Jaeks (Jakes?). The guy is a British mystery author and one of the few mystery writers I've encountered who can actually keep me guessing until the end of the story. Unfortunately with the crappy exchange rate his books are running US$10 a pop, which cuts into my fiber budget...

Reply to the list as I do not publish an email address to USENET. This practice has cut my spam by more than 95%. Of course, I did have to abandon a perfectly good email account...

I've been enjoying Jack Whyte and Margaret George this past winter, with just a few left to read. Sure wish they'd write faster! LOL

The copy I read was from the library which is where I get all the fiction I read. It was there already last Thurs. or Fri. which surprised me. Our library puts books and videos in the catalog when they are ordered. I monitor the lists and, when I see books I want to read, I place holds on them. It's fun to get a brand-new copy from the library knowing it won't cost me a cent.
