DD#2 called from Japan, yesterday, to recognize her favourite Veteran on Memorial Day. (her Dad, lol). We are planning to go to Atlanta (well, Marietta) in June to spend Father's Day with DD#1.
Don's doing OK. Our 'set-back' seems to have 'tapered-off'.
My cousin Fran's bladder cancer was her SECOND bout! I didn't realize that she had the exact same surgery in October! Fortunately, THIS bout seems to have the same results, that the cancer is non-aggressive, and that the actual cancer was encapsulated within the tumor. I'm making a prayer shawl for her, in lavender from hand-spun.
Don's sister is suffering more and more... she has (misspelled, am sure) Sjogren's disease.
My cousin Pete is back on chemo for his adrenal glandular cancer.
My cousin Eileen had a breast removed.
My sister is having health and other difficulties.
My mom.... may not make the year, according to the doc reports and my sister's opinion (in real English, lol) of them...
I am currently working on three knit projects, a short-row semi-circular shawl for me, a triangular prayer shawl for Fran, and a rectangular shawl for my sister.
I'm also working on 2 crochet projects, both afghans for the VFW and the DAV.
Spinning: I've got some lovely lovely lovely baby merino to spin.
Tatting: working on a couple of "ideas".
Bobbin-lace: woefully waiting in the wings to be 'gotten-back-to" at a later date.
I send prayers/vibes/good thoughts for all who in need of them.
I send birthday and anniversary wishes to all I may have or may miss.
I send congrats for projects completed.
Hugs, Noreen
