What's everybody WORKING on?

I'm bored with the threads, so starting a NEW one, grin! So... what ARE you working on? As usual, I've got 7 to 8 projects going on at once! I'm KNITTING: Prairie Breeze Lace Shawl (*my* KaL), the Flower Basket Shawl (FBS redux KaL), and the EZasPi shawl (EZasPi KaL)... plus I'm knitting (yah, cheating, it's on the machine) an afghan to be raffled as a fundraiser for the DAV. I'm CROCHETING: another afghan to be raffled as a fundraiser for the DAV (they actually *asked* me to donate two, how cool.kewl is that?) I'm SPINNING: that lovely pink fleece Cher sent me aeons ago. I'm TATTING: edgings for towels and pillowcases for my neices wedding gift. I'm Bobbin-LACING: nothing at the moment... but working out schematics for a new 'pricking' for a secret project. Hugs, Noreen

I've got a few things on the go as usual

Knitting - A double bed sized blanket in garter stitch which is being knitted one piece on a huge circular needle. A top from the Stitch n bitch book

Crochet - A double bed sized blanket in DC in a variety of greens for a Christmas present

Sewing - a pattern design of a top

Garden - lots of little seedlings, but the threat of snow again this weekend.

Ah Noreen, I am sitting behind the computer, because I am sidestepping, fixing a lovely bright red woolen gardigan I knitted for Aysia. When we tried it on at Christmas time I had sew, or rather crocheted the sleeves to tight in the armholes. When I had to undo the crocheting, I had a devil of a time to find the correct thread back. When I finally had the courage to cut a thread, it was the wrong one, naturally....:=(( I now have to fix this hole that I created. Other than that I have many projects lined up, bought lots of cotton to do more machine knitting, and have cotton lined up for a warp. Just to many things milling around in my head. I think with the sun out, that I am going to plant a rose bush....LOL, much easier....

Nothing right now. I'm just doing the 6x6 squares. Been too tired and too busy to be bothered starting anything since the NYCO. So I'm just waiting for inspiration to hit me in the kisser! LOL

I'm doing the Flyaway Free sweater from Justonemorerow, and about to start on a summer handbag. Just finished a drawstring bag for my sisters birthday next month.

I'm getting into the cottony mindset, and setting aside my wools for a bit.

My biggest projects right now are my knit skull caps, but I'm also making some jewelry along the way.... and off in various locations in my home and have some forgotten projects that have been laying around such as a ladies handbag and an afghan I started two years ago lol.

babbled something about: (in message news: snipped-for-privacy@4ax.com...)

"Christmas Elegance", and "Jane" a bead knit bag and matching change purse, a design by Swallow Hill Creations.

Hi, Linda!!! :) EZ as Pi is Elizabeth Zimmermann's take on the semi-circular shawls, which are based on the mathematical equation of Pi=3.14.... Does that help? She's got a whole BOOK on 'em!! Hugs, Noreen

Noreen, you are incredible! All this at once??LOL!!!

I like to have finished a project before I start a new, but I have normally two or tree going at once. A big one, and a small to carry in my "purse". Just now I have NONE!!! I finished my NYCO, the jacket with all the pattern, and now I have finished the overall to baby Karn. Squares are done, so now I am "free" to do what I want! I have lots of thoughts in my head, but I try to stop a bit... ...find out if it is something special for summer I want to do. BUT!! In a couple of days I bet I am not so "free" anymore!

Aud ;-)) P.S. there is a half done sock in an eyelash pattern, begging to be finished.... (I have made one red with yellow heels and cuff, and I'm working on one yellow with red heels and cuff.)

I see what you mean!!! I just said to DH that we should sit down to discuss what we rally NEED (and then I mean NEED/ HAVE TO, not: fancy) to do here with this house. But I said I am too exhausted when I come home. He just casted a glance at me and dissappeared!! I think he is even more exhausted!LOL!

But when HE is watching football, I like to have something in my hands. I like football too, but not ALL Premier Leage (Ophelia, I have been twice at White Heart Lane, once at Upton Park, once at Highbury and at Stamford Bridge, so I am interested, and Patient , but not "Pationated") and then there is all the Italian and Spanish football..... .. well I am happy when I have squares to do...LOL! Well Aud.... you must take care of yourself and make sure you get enough rest. Just now I have that problem. I work all day and I come home to clean and cook. David is very good but he works longer hours than I do:(

Wow:)) I am impressed:))

I bought some gorgeous yarn last Spring for a cardigan. The yarns are Kitten mohair in black, and Stylecraft Twilight in black with a gold thread, they will be used together and knit on a 9 mm needle. I planned to have the cardigan knit up to wear last Christmas, and only have the band knit so far :(

The good news is I've been side-tracked by making temari balls

and I'm having a great time playing with colour and trying new patterns.

I was supposed to be working on my son's sweater, affectionately known as the tent. But, I started a shrug for me, to be my NYCO. And then I broke 1 of the needles. While we are waiting for the glue to cure, I started a Baby Surprise Sweater. Plus, I bought some cotton yarn last week for a summer tank top.

Sounds like you've been busy! I started a mohair wrap last night. And I have another wrap I'm waiting for more yarn to come in for. And a pair of Regia Jacquard socks. Oh, there's also a double-knitting hot pad in the bin, waiting for the needles from one of the shawls to be available again.

Katherine, sounds like you are doing summer knitting (except for the scarves, of course)!

Knitting: Squares for a comfortghan for a lady (not in this group) who just lost her 13 y/o son to heart problems ;>(

My neverending but beautiful mauve laceweight shawl

Pair of self patterning socks for a Christmas gift - I'm knitting them both at once (well, not quite). I have them on two sets of needles and knit a bit on each sock so they're both progressing at the same rate.

A red cotton T for me (it's kind of on the back burner right now)

Green chenille afghan for me (back burner too)

I'm spinning some REALLY REALLY pink superwash wool as froghair which, when plied and paired with some REALLY REALLY purple will be Fair Isle socks for me.

I've got socks on the needles for the boy.

We've been shearing so I'm dreaming of lots of spinning projects that will probably never happen.
