yarn to give away

I went through my yarn stash this morning and came up with several items that I don't anticipate ever using. Some are left over from completed projects, others, I'm not sure exactly why I bought them! Anyway, I am glad to give them away to anyone who wants them.

  1. ivory shetland wool (2-ply): 2 large (machine knitting size) spools and one ball
  2. light gray shetland wool (2-ply): 1 medium (machine knitting size) spool
  3. pink-white-gray novelty yarn with slubs ("Shadows" by Knitting Fever, Inc.), 54% cotton, 6% nylon, 40% rayon, 4 sts/in: 10 skeins (40g, 52 yds each)
  4. Berroco Glace 100% rayon pale aqua: 4.5 spools (150 yds ea)
  5. Schaffhauser Nancy (43% cotton, 32% acrylic, 17% viscose, 8% silk) gray and white, very soft, 5.25 sts/in 14 balls (50g, 115meters ea.)
  6. Dusty pink textured yarn of unknown composition (perhaps cotton blend): 2 full (machine knitting size) spools
  7. Blue-green and white boucle of unknown composition (perhaps wool/rayon blend?): 1 large machine knitting size spool.
  8. Blue and white marled yarn (95% wool, 4 sts/in): 1 lb, 1170 yards
  9. Berroco Dji Dji kelly green mohair-type yarn (77% wool, 23% viscose), 4 sts/in): 5 50-gram balls

I'd be interested in the shetland yarn for machine knitting, if it hasn't found a home yet.

Yes, all the yarn is spoken for now. (And it is a great color.)

it is beautiful as the happy recipient of same. but it had to go through quarentine here. since my wonderful swedish DW has found some little animals in the house and some evidence of nibbles in on a coat. now all new yarn must spend quarentine in the freezer. since i have seen the mosquitoes and black flies that survive in north dakota and sweden beyond the polar circle, i don't know how well this works but what DW says, I say "yes Dear"

[long story but at our wedding dinner, my older daughter told a story about my rebuilding a car for her. at the end of the story, she said to DW, 'so when my father says something about a car, you should say "yes, dear".' and after the dinner, my said, 'I say yes, dear for the car ... you say yes, dear for all the other.' and so i do say yes dear quite often! :-)

If you doubt the freezer, try the microwave. Just a short burst will do it, I'm told. Or alternate cycles of freeze and thaw, to hatch them so the next freeze will kill them.
