HELP! Trying to learn Customizer 2000 and importing other files for Janome 9000

have a brand new Janome 9000 and Customizer 2000 software. I am brand new to embroidery and computerized sewing machines. When I have tried to import a bitmap image, it requires SO much tinkering, I can't help but think I am doing something very wrong.

Anyone care to help me with this? I did also post to alt.binaries.crafts.pictures. I am anxious to embellish garments and baby clothes. Most people consider me quite computer capable, yet I find this very time consuming and awkward, not to mention I am not sure how to handle the files that are posted there.

Thanks in advance, Paulette

Thanks, Rose, for the helpful information! I think I will get Embird and try it out.

just saw this on another post if you didn't already, but here it is:

I hope not! Not in this group anyway. Download the Demo, use it, try it out and if you like it (like I did!) it´s just $70 at

you insist on using an "illegal" copy there are othergroups that are more open to requests like yours. Only a fewdays ago a tip was posted in this group, but I leave you tofind it yourself.Happy new embroidery year anyway! I got mine ver 6 I think it is for $60 a year ago, just haven't used my embroidery for almost the whole year, we moved from our old home back in may, but was busy packing from around march, so didn't have time to do that. I just got back into sewing a few weeks ago, made my dad a fleece coat, then had to make some under wear for myself. I do need to get back into embroidery though, and am thinking about what it is that I will be making. I saw a nice pillow project at

a while ago, and will probably try that out.

well good luck, and maybe do a search for Embird, maybe there is someplace out there that will have it discounted, but all in all, the price is good for what it is your looking for. and with all the free embroidery files out there, you may not even use your customizer. at least now you can go download them, save them, (hopefully you have a cd-rw) and always have them. and with embird, you can look at a whole folder at once to see what the design is, which is nice. buzz tools does the same, but a little more $, always like to save where ever I can.
