Ever wonder how to fold fabric for storage?

This is how I did mine. It works a treat, even with fat quarters and long lengths. Quick to do. I didn't fold the really, really long stuff in half at the end, but the rest are all neatly stacked in Useful Boxes. I can choose fabric or just browse very easily.
Neat isn't it. One of those moments when you think, "Why didn't I think of this?"

Howdy!
No, I never have wondered that; I just fold it, smooth it w/ both hands so I can fondle my fabric a few more times, then lay it on a shelf, in a basket or tub, and do it all over again next time. ... . Jenn- have you been folding this way? How far thru' your stash?
R/Sandy - I wonder what other things I haven't wondered, yet..

I fold mine like this too. Except I do the FQ;s a little different and store those by color group in bins.
