Hate Borders

Have I mentioned recently how much I hate putting borders on quilts? And, naturally, the two tops I am currently working on both have 2 borders each!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back to the machine.

Fun quilt, although matching those curves when putting the blocks together was challending.

That is absolutely gorgeous, and there is a little purple in there to put the icing on the cake for me! I love it!

Oooooh! I love it! 'specially the narrow purple border. Looks fabulous! (and for someone who "hates" borders, you sure do a heckova good job!)

I'll ditto what Taria says, Joan -- your quilts are always wonderful and well worth the struggle with the borders, at least from my point of view! :)

Great pattern Joan, and beautifully done. I would never have realised that you hate any of the P&Q process - you are always so accomplished. You make such lovely pieces. This one is going to lend itself to some terrific quilting, with those lovely curvy, plain areas. Hope we don't have to wait too long to see it >g< . It's called Winner's Bouquet (?) and is a pattern from Atkinson Designs. The pattern and templates come together in one package. Easy pattern and nice templates to work with. I did back them with the clear vinyl stuff to keep them from slipping on the batik. Worked great!

Thank you! When we bought this house, we inherited wonderfully planted perennial beds and lovely landscaping. I'm just the caretaker, but I do love playing in the dirt!

That turned out great! You made quick work of those borders.

My guild did a class with the templates several years ago. It seems they called it winner's circle. There were some nice projects that came back finished. That is always a sign of good pattern/templates, teacher or both. I enjoyed the 'stroll' around your home. How pretty! Taria

Piggybacking here. Joan, I really like that one! Of course, I always like your quilts. :) Your house is very pretty, too. But are those two adorable cockers yours??? Are you interested in a cocker forum?
