Bev, in EQ find the Snowball block and the Bright Hopes block. That is what the two blocks are. Then for the outside you will do modified Snowballs. If you use the standard blocks, you want the 9-patch versions. But if you want narrower, use the 4-patch snowball, and edit the bright hopes to have the center be 2 "patches" square and the outside parts to be 1 patch wide. (Just move the lines and extend them. Of course if using the 4-patch (Actually 4x4) it is easier to have a block size that divides easily by 4. (8", 10", or 12" for example. )
For those of you into extra whatevers--- try putting it on point. But don't use a directional print for the big squares unless you want to deal with lots of bias edges. (Don't ask--- not my brightest moment.)
