Anyone Sewing anything unusual?

My sewing is just the usual mending or adding an applique. I also sometimes sew a very simple summer top for myself. What are you making? Barbara in SC

For now about the only time I'm spending at the machine is simple mending. I've got a new pair of pajama bottoms that might need to be hemmed. They're 100% cotton so they'll be washed in hot water and dried at a high temperature to see if they'll shrink in length before I do any cutting and hemming.

My latest project was sewing a timer pocket onto an old T-shirt to convert it into a housework shirt. A timer in a smock pocket gets its buttons pushed, so I put a patch pocket on the left shoulder of each slopping-around shirt.

I really like the look that twin needles gives to pajama pants as well as T shirt hems and sleeves. I just have to remember when doing this, the garment must be sewn on the RIGHT side of the fabric.
