Machine Prices

I was out and about today lookin for the perfect craft idea for my wife, and I glanced at some machines...

WalMart has them for ABOUT $170... and Joann Fabrics *chokes* I won't go there!

I ended up at Michael's Crafts and bought this stupid little Bead puncher - has to go back as it doesn't bend all 4 spikes the way it should. ARGH!

My wife says to me one night... "You know what I would love for Christmas from you? SOmething you create! It can be a song, a poem, ANYTHING!" ANd now I have it in my head that I want to do some kind of special craft.

*wimpers* WHAT NOW? LOL!

SgtMajor murmured while asleep:

be very very careful abou those cheap machines. You'd be much better off putting your hard earned ching into a good older used machine than a POS.

You stay with us and we help. What d'ya wanna make her? (That's in addition to 'happy'! ;D)

Why not start with something dead simple, like a metallic crystal organza wrap: 2m of 45" wide organza, some nice ribbon to finish the ends, and if you don't fancy adding the beads and stuff yourself, it comes pre-sequinned and beaded and embroidered... I've done quite a few in the last 2-3 years.
