Mending frustration

The other day three buttons popped out of the washing machine trap - so I put them somewhere safe. Then the waistband button popped off my skirt while I was getting dressed....

Today, I finally sat down to do the mending. I dealt with the skirt button. One of the buttons from the washing machine was reunited with DH's shirt.

Then I realised I had a problem! I have a blouse missing a button, which was one of the ones from the washing machine... which I now can't find. But I can find two buttons - one of which I know is off one of DH's white shirts (but which one?!) - but I can't find any other shirts / blouses that have missing buttons!

Grump! Grrrr! Oh well, I did manage to progress DB's late running trousers.

Dear Sarah,

Erma Bombeck wrote a hilarious column years ago about her washing machine. She decided that it ate socks, until the day it regurgitated a girdle that she had never seen before. I guess it chews buttons, too!!

I've read one of her books - very funny!

I have at least discovered where one of the buttons belongs. Wey hey!
