That was fun. 'They say' that perfectionists are never pleased. Not so. Sometimes we are and your plaid-matching is a joy to behold. Wow, Beverly. Polly
How lovely is that! Looking forward to the pix of you in it. :)
The trait is in my DNA, my mother also strove for perfection. 'Course, she produced me. ;->
Thanks! This one was difficult, because the print did not show well on the wrong side. I think I tore out the stitching for all four darts at least twice. And Mom would probably have required that I re-do the back neckline facing as well, it's off a little. I would have re-done it for a paying customer, but I was running out of time and needed to get it finished for the trip. ;-}
Thanks, Kate!
I scrubbed up real well yesterday for the tea, and took a picture when I returned home. I just added one to my site
You will surely want to consider the source and we live in Black Creek Swamp, not exactly the fashion center of anywhere. However, I kind of think that you have creases pressed in your beautiful jacket's sleeves. I'm wanting you to smooth them out - easy enough with silk. Just my humble opinion and what do I know? Polly
You look great! :)
You are correct about the creases, they certainly don't belong there! I pulled the jacket out of the closet last minute, and failed to see the creases. They are the result of the jacket having been packed for the Nashville trip, and not worn since. My bad!
Thanks! I've actually lost enough weight sicne I made the jacket that I had to pin a good-sized tuck in the back of the jacket to make it fit well for the picture. I'll be making permanent alterations. ;->
very pretty and elegent jacket!!

Thanks. And the fabric was such a perfect weight for the occasion.
FWIW (and not much) When I hang mine, I 'poof' my best silk jackets' sleeves with whatever is available: acid free tissue is best but husband's old football jersey will do. Just something that will keep the shoulders and sleeves from getting sharply and permanently creased. That silk perfection of yours is worth the best of care. Polly
Nice idea, thanks. I really think the creases were the result of having been packed, but I'll press them and see how it goes.

Wow, Beverly! The jacket looks great and what a fit.
I really enjoyed reading the bits on how you put it all together. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks.
My pleasure. ;-)
