Beverly, that is beautiful. I love the color and I also love the details that you show. A true labor of love, Juno
Just beautiful, Beverly. I love the colors.

It is a gorgeous skirt, and also, it's nice of you to add the commentary to the pictures. The colors are beautiful as well. Emily
Gorgeous work!! I Love that fabric and you truly did it justice with this one. I know she will be thrilled to pieces with the skirt. And that will be gorgeous to watch her dance in!!
Sharon
Thanks! I love the fabric and color, but we're having difficulty finding a coordinating velvet for the vest. As a last resort, I ordered white cotton velvet and several colors of dye from Dharma Trading, but I *really* don't want to go that route.
Beverly
Thanks, Irene! 'Tho I sorta wish she had stayed with the blue or green she originally wanted, we haven't found velvet to go with this yet.

Thanks! If I can figure out the new Comcast web tools, I'll put pictures and descriptions on one of my pages. I like explaining how and why I do things.
Beverly
Thanks, Sharon! I guess now I really do qualify for the title of "tartan girl". ;-) I can hardly wait to see her in it. I'll start altering a pattern for the new blouse tomorrow. We still have to find the "perfect" color of velvet for the vest.
Beverly
That's really a very professional-looking job you did. Nicely done photos, as well.

Beverly, I know you've searched all over for just the right color velvet, I was wondering if you called silk road to see if they have any. Their web page says they carry a lot of colors and to call to see if they have what you need. Juno
Thanks, I had not seen that site before, I just sent them and e-mail with a link to the tartan. Keep your fingers crossed. ;-)\
Beverly
Thanks! I did not log my time, so I don't know if it would be worth my time to make them for $$$ instead of love. I know there is a market.
I love my Nikon S10 digital camera. ;-)
Beverly
Thanks! I took pictures of DGD in the skirt this afternoon, I'll get them added to the gallery soon.
Beverly
Phooey! I sent them an e-mail to their "contact us" address, and received a bounce.
I'll try calling tomorrow.
Beverly
Beverly, I want to be you when I grow up. Oh wait...I'm 65 so I guess I AM grown up...maybe in my next life.
Liz
it's gorgeous!
How about a market for a brochure or booklet on "how to do" a skirt like that? Or a web site like Kate's? Like you really need something else to do, right?
