Are you still looking for inexpensive cotton or cotton-blend tartans?

Thanks Beverly,

Yes, i am always looking for good deals on fabrics for future projects.

Only problem now is my remnant/discount/muslin fabric stash filled a 58Qt (55 L) plastic box and DW has been grumbling about

*all* that fabric. So, getting any new stuff through the door is problematic.

DW does not quite get why one makes a fabric stash or has more than one machine.... etc..

But thanks for the info i think the stash box corner will fit a

2yd roll ;)

BTW good timing, all that kilt talk had me intrigued ... so a little reseach and i am thinking of trying a kilt project. Probably more of a contemporary or utility style using box pleats and a solid fabric to start. I was thinking of using some soft cotton duck that i have.

thanks again, robb

I hope to get works-in-progress pictures of the kilt process on the web soon. Stay tuned.

My next kilt will either be a machine sewn Utili-Kilt for my DGS, or an Isle of Skye real kilt for my DSIL. They like to attend the local Highland Games in regalia. ;-)

Gosh, is that all? I think I have about 50 times that much...

I'm using some up on Victorian underpinnings this week!

Oh, dear... Neither does Himself, though he has had the use of such things demonstrated on occasion...

I bought a few meters a month or so back for a nice plaid shirt for Himself.

Utilikit sorta fing:

Your DW would be appalled if she came to visit me, with about 10-12 plastic cartons, also 58-quart size, of fabric plus what's in different chest-of-drawers, plus 8 sewing machines, one of which belongs to DS.

Within the past few years, 3 machines have gone and yet, another will be on its way shortly, all to other loving homes. Emily
