Yesterday I had someone hand me a Singer 319W and said, "here, you can have it, I've been tripping over it for 20 years, so it's time for it to go." A FREEBIE -- yippee!
Now, I know that this is a light industrial machine, so says Singer, and that many of them were in homes where people would do piece work for factories at home to earn extra income -- Pennsylvania, at one time, was a haven for clothing manufacturing. What I would like to know is just how reliable a machine is this (is it a work horse, or a weak one). It would be helpful with your opinions input so I know if I should take the time to bring it back to useable status, which I am fairly sure won't take much to do, or should I place in on the shelf, right behind sewing machine number
