reupholstering a Bar stool

Hi, I was wondering how I could reuphoster my bar stools and add some custom logo's to them. I searched the internet and only found one place that would do it if you sent them a logo and ordered 50 stools!! So I want to learn how to do it myself. I assume I will use pleather or vinyl, possible real leather. I want them to be soft. So how do I go about adding the logo? Print it on vinyl? Cut it out of colored leather and sew it on?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Find a local person with an embroidery machine. There are all sorts of designs available, as well as monograms. You can make them out of faux-suede fabric, which is very soft and comfortable to sit on.

It would be a lot less hassle and probably a better result...........

Well if it is embroidered, wouldnt it take on dirt and such? I see that the nice ones have a clear vinyl sandwiched over the printed? vinyl. I dont even know if it is printed. Should I ask in a different forum? leather working maybe?

Thanks for the suggestion.

The fabric AND the embroidery are washable. Just scrub them off with a good foam upholstery cleaner------good as new.
