I'd look for a pattern for a French Shopping Bag in crochet, and adapt it to whatever shape net I wanted to hang up to store the stuffed animals. The ones I've seen in magazines are usually triangular but that assumes you have a corner to hang it in. Maybe just a really big bag would work, and you could hang it on a hook.

If you use non-stretchy cotton, you could use any lace pattern that has smaller openings than the smallest of the stuffed animals.
