Can anyone verify for me the contents of the King Arthur Flour Baker's Companion Book? Are all the recipes available at

There's 1200 recipes on the web site, and the book doesn't have a table of contents that is conducive to a direct comparison. So you're asking for an incredible amount of work to elicit an accurate answer. I can tell you that the book is a fount of useful information, and is well worth the asking price. And, a price above rubies--every recipe I've made from it has been good, and any faults have been my own and corrected the next time. The brownies, chocolate eclairs and cinnamon rolls are frequently requested by both friends and casual acquaintances. T

Thank you Thomas and Janet for clarifying the difference (or similarities) between the book and the website. I had a chance to peruse the book today and it confirmed both your thoughts on it being a very useful and informative tool in a baker's book arsenal. I will probably borrow it from the library and if all goes well with the recipes, I'll go ahead and buy one. I love how the recipes give

I cocur with Janet on the qualities of this book and I think that you will buy one anyway! It is one of the better baking books available and, although it also gives recipes in cup measure, it strongly advises you to buy a set of scales and use the weights instead. Graham
