I had my earring class this morning. I had a good time, and I churned out 4 sets of earrings. I was poorer than I expected by the time I walked out of the LBS, but not poor enough, evidently, because I found out about THE BEAD SHOW on today being put on by the Gem and Lapidary Club. A friend mentioned it who had been told by another friend. No advertising, zip. All the LBS owners in town went to pick up stock, evidently.
I bought a string of black onyx and basic sterling supplies, but forgot to get ear wires. I'll have to make my own.8-)
Someone was asking about bead shows in Canada a few weeks ago, and suspect gem and hobbyist clubs are where they are going to find out about them.
Lord help me. I walk everywhere I go and the LBS is one hour east of where I live, and because I didn't have the address and wandered all over before finding it, the Bead show was one hour east. My feet hurt, my VISA is going to explode if I use it again, and I didn't get anything else done today, but it was a good day. Dora
