I've been enjoying seeing your doll outfits. You almost have me motivated to start some for my younger daughters' dolls. The each have one and have been begging for matching clothes for them.

The patterns come from the book "Sew the Contemporary Wardrobe for

18 inch Dolls." The dress was a freebie on line. I got the book from Amazon. They are not difficult to do. The next outfit will be the cover outfit on the book. I will probably substitute a dress for the skirt so that if she wants to take the jacket off she had an entire outfit under it. Or make jumper and tee shirt or teeshirt and skirt. I haven't decided yet. Juno

Her note was very complimentary though. I don't believe schools(teachers) put emphasis on spelling as in the past. And I suppose it is because of the abbreviations used in most 'computer talk'. I had a thank-you note from DGD for the baby shower gifts and it is very difficult to think she can not spell very well or write properly either. All her correspondence is poorly printed with many misspelled words. Of course, she went to a small, parochial school in a small town, which may account for part of it. I suppose her brothers write the same to some extent, but they seldom write notes, except on Facebook.

Thank you so much for sharing. Cherish the note. Slip it between the pages of a favorite recipe book and you'll smile every time you come across it. Spelling, grammar? They must not teach those anymore. Our university graduate grands can't spell worth a hoot and their grammar is (to me) painful. We love them dearly. So it is. Polly

Thanks Polly, I was so thrilled to get the note. She has trouble with reading and spelling and is in a reading program. Her mom also has a tutor in the summer for her. I know she will improve in time. What was most important to me was that she did it herself. Her mom told me that when the doll clothes arrived in the mail, she was so excited. She kept showing them to her two sisters. The thing that impressed her so much was that I put buttons on the PJ top, but used the Velcro for a closure. Her mom said that she went running to the computer to send a thank you note. Juno
