Help? Badly printed pattern instructions!

I bought Vogue 8481 a few years ago, just to have it in my collection, I never even opened the envelope.

Now, I want to make a spring jacket using the pattern, so I opened it up to review the instructions. Yikes! The entire bottom of page 3 (of 7 pages) is so badly printed I cannot read the text or see the illustrations for steps 36, 37, 38,

43, 44, 45, 53, 54, 60, 61, 67,and 68. Aaarggh! Several of her special techniques and/or instructions for 'buttonholes', 'shoulder seam', 'collar', and 'sleeves' are totally blurred out.

If anyone has this pattern, could you scan the lower section of instruction page 3 and send me a couple JPEGs? beidesign [at] comcast dot net reaches me.

It's been a few years since I tackled a properly tailored jacket (the velvet highland dance jacket doesn't count). I know I can probably rely on my memory for some of the techniques, but I'd love to have the full set of Claire's instructions.

Thanks in advance!

I wondered what kind of pattern would make *you* need the instructions so I looked at 8481. Oh my, what a beautiful jacket. I can see how having the instructions would be very helpful at any skill level =) and look forward to seeing your spring jacket. Polly

This jacket is in Claire Shaeffer's "Custom Couture Collection", with 116 steps, each carefully illustrated and explained. The last really *tailored* jacket I made, with all the fussy inside work that doesn't show but produces superior results, was the three-piece suit for my husband many years ago.

Nowadays, I usually use short cuts and quick steps, I just thought it would be fun to give couture tailoring another try before I'm too old to make the attempt.

I sent Vogue an e-mail last night, I hope they have a copy or a .pdf!

Good lesson though, even if you don't intend to use a pattern right away take a look at the instruction sheet to be sure everything is legible.
