Thank you for looking.

Now the OT, for anyone who is interested. My show for my other work opened Monday. I was thrilled and about fell over when I found out that they put a picture of my jar, front and center, on the invitations! There are some big names (in the ceramic world) in this show. I am so excited!

So, here's the link. They only show one of my peices but I have seven in there and three of them are actually sets. The jar is 12" in height and I think my best work so far. But then, it is a very special pot for me, as it deals with me and my sons and the loss of my daughter (who died by suicide in 2000). The title is 'Ascension'

Check this out. My jar is the middle one!

Wow, Melinda! Wonderful work, as always! I see your stuff and feel so luck to have one of your beads!

Beautiful jar too. I'm so sorry about your daughter.

BTW, I lived in Rantoul (Chanute), many years ago.

I love the Inro and Ojime -- so much that I bid on it, so it's MINE MINE MINE, at least for a few short minutes ....

That JAR is amazingly incredible. Melinda, do I have your website on the Links List?-----Oh, man, no I don't! Your category isn't even up yet! I will correct that in the next couple of days, and Kandice will put it up for me when she gets time to do so. Don't worry! (But send me a link to your site just in case, okay?) ~~ Sooz

Thank you, Cheryl! I wish I had some of my professional slides on a cd so I could share some of my other work.I did put a couple pictures of a maple leaf jar in the vessel album of my PictureTrail gallery. This is the one that Barbara saw and asked about, last summer at Arts in the Park in Danville. It's not a real good picture... I just took a couple of fast shots for my records. Wouldn't it be cool to make some tiles like this for a backsplash! (Going to get plaster today!)

And thank you for the bid too! I am starting over on the bead that we had talked about. I kind of let the other one dry out a bit too much while I was sick last week.

Until later, Melinda W.

Hi Everyone! I am sorry that it has taken so long for me to respond to your posts. It's been a busy couple of days. I hauled more stuff from the old house to the new house (will it ever be finished?!!!) and I am trying to get caught up on things that I had to put off while I was getting ready for my show.

Jerri, You're kidding! That's where my daughter lived the last year of her life... well, just a block or two off base! (You know that is no longer an active base?) It seems like such a small world sometimes.

Thank you, everyone, for the compliments and the bids on my beads!OXOXOX. I love working both big and small in clay but there is somthing so very comforting about working on my tiny beads. (Tiny as compared to functional pottery : )

This year NCECA is being held in Indianapolis and that's only an hour and a half away. I've only been to one of thee confrece and that was when it was in NC. I'd be crazy not to go when it is so close. Anyway, I am going to buy some PMC and add it to some of my bead work. I am so excited that it's almost funny. I feel like a kid waiting for xmas.

Sooz, Thank you. I don't have a real website yet : ( . I only have a picturetrail gallery... so I'll understand if you don't want to add it to your links list, but I'll attach the link just in case you still want it. After NCECA I am going to have my computer revamped as I am having way too many problems with it. After the revamping I am going to attempt to build a site using Netscape Composer. Is there anyone here that uses this and that I might get pointers from when the time comes???

Well I am going to post a couple more auctions and then I am going to go in town to Hobby Lobby and the hardware store... two of my favorite places!!!

Until later, Melinda W.

Thanks, dolling -- you have to have more than just a website to get on the List. You have to have a *fabu* website. :-) I've had to get picky, because the List was getting too big to handle. ~~ Sooz
