AD: New beadies! And shed developments...

I have many, many new sets up for sale... and new shed pictures! I also made a really fancy focal that I want to share, from my Shaman's Flowers series.

Oh, Kalera, what lovely "lose yourself in them" beads you have made. I cannot pick a favorite, tho Woad is up at the top. The Shaman focal is, as usual, a very special bead. There always seems to be a story inside those beads. I wish you lived closer. My ex has squirreled away all manner of building materials and he wouldnt miss a couple boards or shingles or... well.. you name it, he has it. And if there are things you need that you cant put a name to, he has those too. Diana

OMG Kalera, you shiver my timbers! I know why you have had the headaches and backaches, it was giving birth to these beads...

Thanks, Su! And it's fun to say.

Alex is FREAKING ADORABLE... I wish I'd taken a picture of his face. I want him to be my little brother! And my baby thinks he's hilarious, she can't stop laughing when he's in view. I'm also really impressed because he installed these circuits while the box was live... so we wouldn't have to be without power while he worked. WHOA. I guess that's why he's an electrician, and I'm not! I did watch and learn, though.

I think I may need a neon sign for the event...

I think your DH and I may be related... at least in the squirrelling department. Perhaps we're both related to squirrells? I save everything building-related I can find, including a door, 2x4's, a random pack of cedar shingles, and several jars of screws. It's a madness!

Wow, thanks Carol! I love that you're building a shed too (Su is such a trendsetter)... I am really excited about what a tiny haven it's going to be, and relatively inexpensive to convert, too. I have always envied those with a cute little garden studio, because it seemed like such a luxury, but now I'm seeing that it's not as complicated or expensive as I thought, at all. I can't wait to see your shed, when you get it done!

Thanks, Barabara! I had a vision of that Strngth bead when I was on vacation with the family this summer, so I sketched it out. I think that's going to be the first in a series, in fact. The Uroboros is a really good glass for sculptural work because it stays "sticky" for a long time without being too soft and going out of shape, and isn't very prone to thermal shock, so I'm feeling more adventurous in that department.

The Bead Squeeze is now my Official Favorite Tool. I am sooo infatuated! The beads are very light and "clicky", and provide a lovely canvas for my explorations. More to come...
