AD - Petite shell sets & more!

Hi Y'all,

I listed five new auctions Friday night that will be ending tomorrow. There are two sets of super comfortable squeezed beads and three small sets of seashells. I thought there might be a few people who would like some seashells, but didn't want just a single focal bead or a larger set. Soooo, I made what I'm calling a "petite set" which consists of a focal conch, 2 urchins and 6 matching spacers. It makes for a really cute little set.

Why don't you click on over and take a peek....

I love your idea of offering smaller sets with a focal conch, the urchins and spacers.

Yumm, drool. Drool, yum.

Whoops, didn't I say I wasn't looking at your seashells?

Dear Dawn, Thanks for the pleasure of looking at your beads. Your shells certainly are a hit!! I'm thinking of a warm summer day and a clear sky on a pristine beach! Probably one has to go Oregon or South America for that. Certainly not in New England. I was wondering - what is color shifting raku? I've seen it mentioned elsewhere. Thanks for the beauty. Hi Lilyflower,

Thank you so much for such kind words about my beads. Here in Florida, there's only a couple days out of the whole year when it's too cold to think about seashells and clear blue skies. Seems I always have flowers and seashells on my mind.

Color shifting Raku is a furnace glass manufactured by Reichenbach. (The official name for it is Iris Orange.) It's a boring tan color when it's in rod and frit form, but when applied to a bead and heated and chilled just so, produces an awesome range of colors from greens and blues to gorgeous purples and salmons. It produces an even different effect when encased in clear. I think the reason it's so fun to use, is it's always a wonderful surprise when the beads come out of the kiln.

Thanks Su! Yes, I see you looking....and drooling. But it's okay. It's kind of like window shopping without the embarrassing nose prints on the window. LOL!

Thanks Katie! Actually, I've always wondered if other people know what they'll do with their beads before they buy them, or if they buy them and figure out the "what to do" part later.

LOL, for me, the 'knowing' part is an extended session of drooling, giggling and fondling the beads. After that, it's in the lap of the gods.
