AD: Something New and Unusual From Me

Hi everyone, this is another new series from me, I know I begin alot of them. Too many ideas and not enough time or hands to get it all done ;) This one is called The Water Bearer II (I kept the first one :p ). She is the first in my World Cultures series. She was hand painted with glass powders to give the detail to her mudcloth patterned clothing and her water jar. I hope you like her.

WAYYY cool, Teresa! And I see you are going to be well rewarded for all that hard work, too. :)

I have a question for you about your SRA logo: is the organization still active? Will you point me in the right direction to find them? I followed a link once and inquired about signing up but the email failed and failed again. Apparently it was an old email address that didn't work any longer. I lost the trail after that.

Thx. Giselle

Thank you for the nice comments Kandice and Giselle :))

Giselle, yes they are still putting this together. Last I read they were working on the official website. You can send your information into Melinda, she is in charge as far as I know. Here is a link to the temporary website. At the bottom it tells how to join.

Thank you David! I used Fuse Master in powdered form. I'm not sure if they are the same thing as Paradise paint, but I am thinking they are probably very similar?

Hi David, so it is pre-mixed then. I mix the powders with pine oil (squeegee oil) before using them. Bronwen mentioned that there were pre-mixed paints, but she recommended the powders and mixing when you want to use them. The pre.mixed paints dry out after a while and then you'd need to mix them again anyway.
