How dare you!

LOL! Oh Tink, I LOVE it!

I think someone is just mad because they don't instantly sell out of all their beads.

Well, the other thing is, one lampworker can't tell another how to price their work because frankly, some are faster than others! If I can make X bead in Y minutes, then I'm pricing it at Z dollars, regardless of how long it takes so-and-so to do it. I'm not going to charge more because so-and-so is slower, or less because so-and-so is faster... that's just ridiculous!

Bottom line for me is, if a lampworker has a style I like, I'll buy it as long as it's within my budget. I might be able to get something

-similar- from someone else for less, but it wouldn't be the same. If I don't like something or it's not within my budget I won't buy it.

I love the influx of new lampworkers. I really feel it's pushing the industry to the next level, and yes, it is forcing some people who had become complacent to really scramble to stay ahead of the game. It's exactly what we needed to get to the "Taken seriously as an art" phase, which, frankly, is only beginning to happen.

Well darn it - me too. Although I'm getting better and buy some lampwork just for jewelry to be sold and others just for ME (they may just sit around and be adored)
