Bead Crochet Snakes by Adele Recklies?

I don't even know how to bead crochet but I would love to read more about the history of this, and since I think snakes are kind of neat anyway, I'd probably want to try making one.

Just wanted to get some feedback if this was a good book or not by someone who has it. I may want to put it on my birthday list.

I don't have the book, but I've made snakes using tubular herringbone for the body and brick stitch for the head, with cats' eye beads for eyes. I did one and threaded it on memory wire so it wraps around the arms four times and another with a beaded loop under the head so you can wear it as a lariat.

Tubular herringbone makes a very slinky, realiztic snake body.

I was just curious to read th book, too. I thought it looked interesting. I do kind of want to learn to make a snake though, too! And gee, I just learned tubular herringbone!!

Blurry, but you get the idea. Linda2 (knowing Jerri will be making a snake)

How cool!! And the cat's eye beads are perfect for the eyes!
