This afternoon, I went to bed with an absolute raging migraine, only waking up at 8:00 pm, because DD had to share her school day's gossip with me or her head would blow up. So after hearing who had a crush on whom, which teachers should be shot, and general moaning that they didn't get to watch the Patriots Super Bowl Celebration parade on TV (it was being held out as a carrot, so the kids wouldn't skip school), I was informed that I had a little package in my beading chair.
I would have been much happier hearing about the package before the school horrors, but those of you with teenaged drama queen daughters, know that life doesn't work that way. I got my "paper cutting scissors," as opposed to my "good fabric scissors" or my "Children's Fiskars," and set to opening this extremely well wrapped package.
A whole slew of BFNR From Starlia! I have to admit that I really can't read the card right now because of my headache, so DD gave me the "Excutive Summary." I'll be amazed how DD's version, so rushed so I'd open the "good stuff," jibes wit the actual note.
We got a doll with two bodies, so we can choose the doll's personality, some gorgeous clear and boro round to make a kick ass necklacce, a beautiful bumpety vessel,and a lovely lively heart.
If it's okay Starlia, Please may we place the heart in the hand of a friend this week as we bury her, a lovely woman who is dying far too young from brain cancer. She's always loved my work, and this would be a good trinket to start her journey to the next life. It will aso announce that this woman was treasured, educated and appreviated the art. The heart can represent the love we feel for Melodee, and will represent how our love wlll still be there, long after the body has returned to the earth.
Starlia, I can't do any more post reading after this note is finished, since my head's about to blow off. But I want to thank you for making a grey, sad day a lot kinder and warmer. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
