Does anyone know where I can find pink breast cancer awareness ribbon charms to use on bracelets, necklaces and earrings? If not pink then silver will do.
Thanks.

RIO GRANDE also has them in their jewelry catalog.... silver enameled as I recall.
Also- try ebay - if you are thinking of making and selling bracelets - etc. please note that there are many, many already listed - and NOT SELLING at prices as low as $1.00 a bracelet-- you could buy the bracelet and take the charms off this oen... LOL
in the search block - and you'll see plenty... Cheryl of DRAGON BEADS Flameworked beads and glass
The Breast Cancer Awareness site has some, but they're not cheap.... Maybe Rings and Things (Spokane WA), they have all kinds of charms. Barbara Dream Master

Watch out for this! I have recently found out that most of these charm bracelets that are circulating eBay right now (of this style), are coming from Mexico. That's not bad in itself, but I was buying them, described as sterling silver charm bracelets, hoping to take the charms off of them. However, out of half a dozen bracelets, I got maybe 8 sterling silver beads. Each bracelet had only one or two, & all of the charms were cheap plate or base metal.
This bracelet looks almost identical to one I bought a couple months ago,and the charms broke right off at the loop. Same with a heart bracelet, and 2 cross bracelets.
I'm pretty happy with my bracelets, though I just use them as intended, rather than pull them apart for beads. It's nice to have something that looks pretty, but won't be a massive blow when my kids yank it apart and scatter the beads all over;o)
I do hope you left feedback to the person you bought them from. I am also on a quest to stop the flow of junk being sold as quality items or products. I am not putting anyone down for doing it, but am making an atempt to show people what a real product or item is. I get really angry when I see people selling items for HIGHLY inflated prices or their shipping is worst to cover the LOW price they offer them for. Below is a good example of what I mean.

Do you really think that people who see items like that at $9/dozen believe that they are buying quality items?
Or are you saying that you see these items on ebay at inflated prices?

Yes, Go to Ebay and do a search for Paua, then you will see page after page of them.
Most start at a price of $0.01, but then look at the shipping, after you go through page after page of the writing to cover the facts.
Neither do I. I just sell the shell in a polished state, but not alot. NO! I am not trying to sell anything. Was just making a point.. In fact if anyone would like my sorce of the shell, I will be happy to post a total listing of what I found and where I buy from and what I don't buy. If I open a page and have to scroll through 4 or 5 pages of writing and fancy graphics..., I close it and move on. If I have to do a song and a dance to figure out what it is, what it cost, and what the postage is, and how I have to click to buy it... I close the page and move on. Big letters and small type is a good sign they are covering something up. The thing that annoys me most: See description for shipping and buying details. Ebay makes it very simple to buy any item from anyone. Item description. Cost. Postage. Anything else is an attempt to impress the seller. :)) Can't wait to get flamed for this! Oopps... I removed my signature so people don't think I am after sells. If you like check my auction. Not much there because I have run out of shells.., but I will have plenty in about a week or so. Why? Because it takes me between 4 and 6 weeks to polish them. :) Thanks.. Harry
Is this a prime example? I am not really sure.
Unfortunately, some sellers on eBay don't put in the postage costs, but note that buyers are to pay them. After a few high/inflated "S&H" charges added to my final invoices, I've stopped bidding on auctions that don't include them. INCLUDING those that say to contact the seller for shipping costs. Nah Harry, you are right. I can't stand people who don't post postage costs and those who inflate the postage costs to make a profit. Postage is postage; it is not profit. It is one of the many things you have to watch out for when buying on Ebay. Paying postage on each individual item adds UP -- often, one ends up paying more than they would have paid to buy it directly from a retail store. It takes some experience on the part of the buyers to make sure they know what they are paying.

Me too, me too, me too. State it upfront or I am not bidding.

Want to see a really looooooooooong ad for beads? Here is a PRIME example of B/S and garbage just for some beads.
OH holy crap, no kidding. By the time you have jumped through all those hoops you are practically begging them to be allowed to buy their beads! No way. Move on.

Hey, that's my auction!!
Just Kidding. I'm right there with ya. What in the world are they thinking?
And 5.00 for postage?
What is it? How much is it? How much to mail it? That's all, thanks.
If the item is to be shipped UPS, the location of the buyer can make a considerable difference in the cost. This might not apply so much to jewelry items, but my partner has to use that sort of "contact me with your location to get a shipping quote" language in a lot of his auctions. It's not an attempt to scam the buyer, but an attempt to make sure the S&H is ACCURATE.

unfortunately true. the USPS changed the rules a couple of years ago, and unless you do a lot of mailing, you wouldn't be aware of it. distance does now make a difference in many instances.

However, there are "rate calculators" you can add to the page, where the potential bidder can type in his/her zip code and get the rate right then... and not have to wait for the seller to read & reply to the inquiry. Also, if that is a costly thing to do, it is possible to include the shipping weight of the item in the description, the seller's zip code and the web page for the USPS rates.....
