EZ-Lok clasp pic (from quality findings thread)

Okay, since I'm verbally impaired when it comes to descriptions (that's cuz you can't see me waving my hands ) here's a pic.

As much as I hate to give him credit for anything (well, except our wonderful kids), my ex turned me on to these. I really do love them and always feel like I'm sending a piece out into the world with "good background" when I use these clasps.

I really like good S-clasps, too, but find them somewhat frustrating at times...which end did I leave slightly opened? LOL Sometimes I forget and do the "get it off me!" dance at bedtime.

oh that looks interesting and could work for some styles.

What about those magnet closures? Anyone use them?

I find them OK for lighter weight necklaces, but unsafe on bracelets. Too easy to scrape loose against the edge of furniture, etc.

And there is the medical issue when it comes to passing things made with magnetic clasps along to others. They can interfere with pacemakers and some medical 'patches'...

When I was in real estate I "had to" wear mt name. I had TINA in block letter nuggetted with a link between each letter and about an inch of chain on either side. I connected my name to different choker with one of those EZ lock clasps on either side.

Heh, they should do teeny-tiny carabiners for closures! One-handed and secure.

I've had a couple of them for a while, but I'm afraid to use them because of potential damage to ATM/credit cards, hospital devices, computer disks etc. I've also hear that they're not terribly secure.

That's a really neat idea, Tina!
