Hand-Made Beaded Jewelry For Sale

Kathy,

I don't think your tone was harsh... In fact, I'm still trying to find the 'flames' you threw... Got me baffled!!

I thought you were informing her of n/g etiquette, which if she hung around for a while, she would have seen for herself..

I'm wondering how she manages to get up in the morning...

LOL - Boy, did this make me laugh! (sarcasm for you)

*We* didn't drive her off! You set her up for a fall by not explaining n/g etiquette to her... Also, I think she is being overly sensitive - No one here flamed her - just gave her some common sense advice about how to go about using n/g - which you should have given her.

This bead n/g is one of the best n/g's I've subscribed to.. until this came along.. I can't wait till it gets back to it's friendly helpful state..

No offense guys.... but you are all still cross-posting. (which is far worse than one mistake of the original cross-post)

I didn't realize I did it (until I did) in my post, so I know how easy it is to make the mistake. :-/

Can we take the war back to the bead group and out of the marketing group? She didn't upset anyone here... and the flame war isn't really needed in both groups.

I hate people arguing (makes me nervous), if it was up to me I would wave a wand and it would all be over.

Thanks all, hope you understand my post.

lol no flames please! I haven't gotten back my asbestos underwear from the cleaners!

Name one *newsgroup* that accepted her advertisement and welcomed her with open arms after she spammed them without reading the group long enough to discover what was appropriate to post. This I would like to see. Yahoo groups or any other web based groups do not count. Only Usenet newsgroups.

I agree. Flaming is completely different from what has happened here. What has happened in this case is a slap on the wrist. You want flames, take your spamming to a really scary group and see what happens. Let's see......the alt.fashion group would rip you to shreds. And I love that group - it's three times more popular (in sheer number of posts) as this one. And one hell of a lot stricter when it comes to posting.

You haven't spent much time on use net then. I've seen threads like this on at least a dozen different groups. All over the same thing. Someone who hasn't bothered to learn any netiquette getting their feathers ruffled when someone else points out that they have just done the equivalent of jumping into a conversation with a group of total strangers without finding out the subject being discussed or the language being used. This is followed by a third party saying "leave them alone. They're new, so it's OK for them to be rude." When you go to a foreign country, a wise person learns a few basic customs first. In order to keep from pissing off the natives. Get a life. Barbara Dream Master
