I ran into a friend the other day wearing a beautiful piece of wire wrapped reticulated quartz. I said, "That's pretty," and she said, "It's ruminated quartz. I got it on my Alaskan cruise."

Does that mean it's been chewed by Kathy N-V's cow orkers? Or simply thought about really hard??

What is reticulated quartz? I have quartz with black rutiles.

The black needles are tourmaline. Those are tourmalinated quartz. Rutile is a different material -- titanium.

And yup, I my fingers had a brain fart when I was typing "rutilated". But surely you noticed that if you checked the site t see what "reticulated quartz" was.

I've decided that I like reticulated quartz -- after all, reticulated means "resembling or forming a net or network: reticulate veins of a leaf"

Just think, Tina, you may have created a whole new gemstone fad.
