We must learn how she does it. There is a fine line one must not cross...and she never does! I bet her ears are burning now. :-) Diana

Hmmmmmm, should I or shouldn't I? If anyone is REALLY to blame, it would have to be Diana. She is the one who led me down this slippery slope of claying...and beading, even. She lured me here to RCB, and I never suspected I'd end up addicted to this stuff. Thanks, Diana. I started claying when she showed me what could be done with it. Other things got in the way, but then when Candace renewed my interest....well, let's just say, I'm not gonna be getting a whole lot of sleep any time soon, because I need MORE HANDS.

You know that comment about owning a dog made me stop and think. I don't consider Tolak, Smudges, or Trinkett as possessions. I think of them as my best friends, hunting companions, working dogs, and family member. I just can't wrap my head around the ownership part of it.

Yep, it's impossible to own a friend. Diana

little sleep, lotta coffee, and nerves--I have to go register Dare for school in a little while. Plus I just uploaded the first 4 Bekah auctions:)

Ohhh yes. I remember days like that. When Meg decided sleeping at night was not something she wanted to do.... days when sleep was a distant memory, and sleeping in was a thing of the past.. And now, you get to lengthen the ties to Dare. It is hard. I dont think I cried when Jim started school, he seemed so confident and happy. It was a bit hollow sounding at home for a while tho. Diana

What my sis used to do on the first day of school is get together with other moms feeling the emptiness too, and they would spend the day doing something fun. It passed the time and before you know it, the kids were home again. HTH.. and Hugs.. Diana

Who do you think was my inspiration to get into beadweaving? YOU and Ms Kathy "the enabler" NV.

They're really good at that, aren't they? Sooz did that to me, too. I need to make more bracelets.

Hm, with my dog I consider it more of a guardianship; Penny is a sort of family member, one whose care we are responsible for. She can't take herself to the doctor or bathe herself or make her own food, or even walk around the block unsupervised, so she's sort of like a child or a retarded sibling. We love her, she's a member of the family, and the relationship isn't the same as it is with an independent adult human friend. She's sort of a ward.

Of course, she's not the sharpest tack in the box, if you know what I mean. With smarter dogs, "friendship" is probably more accurate.
