It's all Candace's fault

She has inspired me to take that sample package of Sculpey that I got last year and drag my pasta machine out...yadda yadda yadda. So....I'm makin' beads. I have a whole two pie tins ready to go into the oven, and a couple of canes in the fridge. Darn you, Candace!

I think it's cool too. Too few artists really get the recognition they deserve in poly clay.

It is sad. Its because its a medium anyone can go buy and use. But just like any art medium out there some will take it and make magic and others will make oddly shaped lumps of undetermined color and form. This group gives great exposure to the true artists, and those up and coming. I hope the public at large can begin to see this as a valid art form soon. Diana

I had to pause a moment and really consider whether or not I was gonna open this thread, LOL! There are sooooooo many things that fall under this heading--I had to guess at what it might be this time--I guessed right, neener neener neener:) Well dang it, good! Sweetie, you are by far one of the most competent artsy folks I know, and if you're heading into the world of clay, then I know I'm in good company on the Newbie Boat:)

I was totally inspired by a great dog and his fabulous ... hmm.. not owner.. I dont believe anyone owns a dog like Merc... Perhaps friend and mentor would describe the relationship better. My Muse only comes at times like that, when I feel inspired. I do have another, non beady idea brewing, Ill let you all know about it later, when details are more formalized. Think ornaments. Giant beads with only one hole. :-) I do appreciate your enthusiasm. Making things like the Merc bead wouldnt be fun if I did it for money. Diana

in the clay folder... I'll put the Merc bead up again if it isnt there.

Could that really be considered a secret? Hmmmm... no. :-) But, on the other hand.. that very innocent looking Jalynne... the things I could tell you. Blaming sweet Candice for all this when we really know who is to blame. Diana
