This sounds very interesting. How did you find the Japanese web sites? Could you give a link or two? I have two Japanese books with drool worthy designs, but no English directions. My girlfriend just came back from Japan and brought me another book and it has some English instructions! :-)

I haven't seen many Japanese beading books (the few were just as Sooz said, though) but I've seen lots of cross-stitch books that were outstanding. Excellent photos AND charts. Mostly from Ondori publishing, who seems to do quite a lot of crafting books in Japan. A good graph is worth a thousand words.
