There's a store in Oakland called Guess Who where they sell the clothes they produce. Excellent patterns, very nice cuts. Casual. If there's a chance we could stop in there.

That sounds cool! Are they full figure?
Sure are. But Sooz says she didn't see them in the phone book. Uh oh.

Oh, hmmmmmm :) That's okay, I don't have money to spend on clothes right now anyway. :) But if we find one, I'll sure go with you. It would be fun to look.
That should be Says Who. I usually cut out labels because the irritate my skin, and I just now found a shirt with the label still in it.
Tina
you do that too? Ok, how many here are lable ripper-outers? I am, my sons are....

When they bother me, off with their heads! I'm greatly bothered by any that are on waist or my side, my neck generally is fine. My dd on the other hand has issues with almost all her tags/labels.

Add my name to the list of label removers - regardless of where they are. Ditto for my mom, at least two of my nieces, and my grand-niece. We all have "that spot" on the back of our necks. Even as I type there is a remnant on the turtleneck I'm wearing irritating the back of my neck. Where's my scissors??????????
And there very well could be a correlation between sensitivity and creativity!
sensibilities?
Thanks for the link. I'd like to add that the photos don't do the clothing justice. Most of the clothing are shown very casual, but they dress up even more beautifully. Check out the stuff from the catalogue pages. I have stuff from them I've worn for many years.

I do sometimes... Sometimes you get a scratchy label, but mostly they don't bother me too much. What puzzles me is when manufacturers make (for example) a white sheer or crochet top then put a *black* label right where it shows! WHY?!?!
Definitely. I am very picky about that type of thing. Hubby hates it because then he has no idea how to wash the clothes. So I just do the laundry. :) Tags irritate me.

Us, too. DD has sensory integration issues (I think that's what the docs called it), and has always needed soft, loose clothing. I used to go nuts when she was small, trying to find socks without a seam on the toes! She wore sweatsuits until she started school, usually so big that they were hanging off, and to this day needs to have her bra and underwear very, very loose.
I always remove labels as a matter of habit. That's not any trouble - the pain is feeling seams of clothing to make sure that they didn't use that wretched clear nylon thread that always scratches.

LOL! There's people who actually *read* clothes tags?! Not us! Everything gets lobbed in together, standard wash cycle at 60 degrees. I rarely even separate into whites/colours (only if there's a new item or known "dyer")!

ROFLMAO!! Yep, that settles it, Helen. We really *are* twins, LOL!!

My DD was exactly the same. When she was little she insisted only only wearing huge, baggy clothes (guess she was always a little bit hip hop, LOL), and the only way I could get her to wear socks was with them inside out. She even started wearing *my*shoes when she was about five (course, I do have very tiny feet, thank goodness!!). She seems to have outgrown a lot of these, though.

I cut the labels off everything, LOL. Becki "In between the moon and you, the angels have a better view of the crumbling difference between wrong and right." -- Counting Crows
I HATE that stuff!! WHY oh WHY do they use that horrid stuff???
and "sensory integration issues"---now that's a great phrase. Gotta remember that one. What caused that to come up? We are the same here at our house with the lookout for painful seams on socks, nothing tight, nothing scratchy, no elastic (I used to cut my elastics when my mom wasn't looking, sleeves, underwear, whatever...)
I'm not at all surprised we are so many of us here at RCB label-less!! Sarajane
