I don't know, Sooz. On my monitor what you see as white is a light shade of violet?

No kidding! My husband was looking over my shoulder when I was looking at her heart set and he said he didn't think $300. was near enough for those beads. Of course then he gave me the look! LOL

That's so true, Carol and each bead compliments the other so well that they beg to be kept together!

Makes me wonder though....what do people do with the beads from these high end (IMO) auctions? Are they collectors, you think?

I get collectors, art galleries, people who are buying for themselves or to use the beads in jewelry as gifts, and I also get jewelry designers who usually split the beads up and put them in jewelry to be sold. :)

I was curious about that. I know I would split up a set no matter how well matched they are but was reasonably sure that no everyone would. Question for you Kandice. Does the art galleries design jewelry with your beads and then display them? Aren't I the nosy rosy?

Actually, I have had two art galleries buy my work (that I know of) but neither of them actually said what they were going to do with the beads. :)

That'd be my guess. I have some focals that I paid a couple hundred a piece for, and I definitely plan on keeping them. A lampworker friend made me some wooden bead stands so I have lots of beads that I just have out on display.
