Lacy's stiff stuff ?

Does anyone know where I can buy Lacy's stiff stuff at a good price? It is very expensive to use and I love this stuff but I would love to find a good price somewhere. Roxan

I know they carry it at Fire mountain gems. have you looked there? I know there are those on this ng who don't care for the place, but I've never had a problem with them.... beth

Are you using it as a backing for seedbead entrapments? If so, I have used Pelon Interfacing instead and it worked well. Also, I have seen the Stiff Stuff at Joanne's, but its been a long time.... Sarajane

What problems have people had with FireMt? I've ordered before, and been satisfied (though I now know I can get better prices elsewhere); just wondering if there's something important I don't now about :o)

What she said. I'll never buy from them.

Same here. See my previous rants on google for details.

BTW, I haven't seen anything at FMG that I can't buy for a lot less elsewhere. Where? Check Sooz's bead list for vendors.

Hints: some of my favorite vendors are Jewelweaver.com, South Pacific

and Caravan Beads. All are owned by "real people," have good prices and terrific service.

The people that participate in this group that sell beads are all wonderful, too - but I don't want to name names and forget some people. I know I would, and I'd feel horrible afterward.

Beware of their shipping!!!! I needed to make an emergency order a few weeks ago. The item I needed was about $20, so I added a couple things on just to make the order worth my while. Everything was light weight and my item total was only $28. Shipping was an additional $15 half as much as my total! I was absolutely amazed, but unfortunately desperate for an item to fill an order. I make much larger (dollar and weight wise) orders several times a month and have never paid that much for shipping. Of course there is the obvious, that their items are more expensive, sometimes significantly.
