looking for one-hole buttons

Apr 21, 2004 5 Replies

Hope someone has a source! :-)

There's a teacher at school wearing a neat necklace made with one-hole buttons that

*LOOK LIKE* mother-of-pearl. The kids here want to try to make a necklace like it, but one source I found wanted almost $100 for a bunch of them - - not exactly a "kids project" price. Does anyone know where to find some that aren't *that* expensive? Maybe a faux MOP (off-white pearlescent)? They are around 1/2" to 5/8" in diameter.

TIA!! Susan in VA

Try a two-hole button with holes close together. Then drill between 'em til there's only one hole. ~~ Sooz

The seller is Laura McCabe. If you read any of the major bead magazines, you've seen her work. Not only is she an outstanding artist, she is an absolute doll!
