Hi guys,
My mother and I went to Michael's today and they had Blue Moon beads on sale. I won't have a chance to get down to Beazu (like Beadworks, I guess) until next week, and since Mom was buying, I can't complain. After she saw the two necklaces I made, she wants me to make three - one for her, one for her friend and one for my grandmother. LOL! My attraction to pretty sparkly things is pretty bad, and I try to stay away from the bead aisle. Oh well :-D
I went to the library and brought a few books on beading home. I want to make sure my necklaces are as secure as possible and that I'm knotting them right. I fear that they may go sproing on someone.
I should be able to post a few pictures soon of what I'm currently working on. I bought those mixed bags of Blue Moon beads in blue and green/blue and am just randomly stringing the beads together. The blue one turned out great, but the green/blue one is just being stubborn. I had finished it off when I realized that one side was about five beads longer than the other. I carefully unknotted it to take off a few beads, and I sneezed! Beads everywhere. After a few more tries at stringing it, I gave up and started on a new piece of tigertail. The old one must be cursed :-D
Hope everyone had a good weekend, I look forward to catching up on posts.
Best, Christine
