needles

I am new to beading. My problem is the eyes on the 10 & 13 seed bead needles I have are so difficult to thread anything other than NymoB. Does anyone have an opinion on the large eye needles or any tricks to pass on. Even my threaders are breaking. aaggghhhhh......

Threaders never work on beading needles. When I first started beading they broke every time. The eye's on beading needles are thin, and the needle itself isn't as durable as sewing needles (which are thicker)

I use Silamide with size 12 English beading needles - and it's hard to thread, but works well. Squeeze the end of the thread in your thumb and forefinger, and push the needle onto the end of the thread. Works for me every time. Good luck!

I like the Beadalon brand of big-eye needles... they seem to be more strongly soldered, and a tad thinner than the other brands I've tried. And they have consistently worked for 2-3 passes through Japanese size

11s. Haven't risked them on smaller beads, or larger number of passes.

And magnifying glasses and strong light help with threading the eentsy-weentsy regular beading needles.
