Hi all, I am working on my first multi-strand project, first project with softflext, and first project with crimps. All at once. :D
The bracelets I'm making are six strands, through 3-hole connecters, with
3-hole end bars. I cut 3 18" length of softflex (8" bracelet X 2 + a little extra), thread it through a hole in the end bar, center it & crimp it, then string each strand. (I hope that makes sense.)I'm having a really hard time dealing with the softflex as I get to the end of each strand. (I'm not crimping them as I finish because I want to make sure they're all the same length...) As I'm stringing one strand, a neighboring strand will ka-SPROING and fire off a volley of seed beads. I tried some hair clips, but they didn't hold the softflex well enough. I ended up taping the strands down to my tabletop as I reached the ends, but then that kind of limited where I could move.
Any other ideas?
