OT Another string to my bow

I think I mentioned that I have done a digital imaging course. Also that I have made my first quilt. While I was doing the DI and making some unusual pictures by imposing one element of one photo on to another. Then using various textures. I hit on the idea for some pieces to make a wall hanging. I printed one off on silk and one on cotton and another two designs on paper to see what they would look like.

You can see them under other crafts on my website. Shirley

Shirley, they are stunning! A question: is the texturing 3-dimensional, or a digital manipulation? Id doesn't change my appreciation--I'm just curious.

Just a digital manipulation. They look as if you could feel the bumps if you rub your fingers over. Yet you can only feel the cotton or silk texture. The head of the adult learning program was so impressed with them. She got me to do some samples to put up to advertise the next course which starts next week. The tutor was surprised at the enthusiasm of the group that he is trying to plan a follow up course for us in Sept. if they will allow him to. Meanwhile I am starting a Family History course next week. I did get back to 1605 on one branch of my DH's family many years ago. I want to start it again because DGD is interested in it. DH has made us a family tree box in solid oak to put the documents in.

You just cannot keep a 71 year old tied down. LOL Shirley
